A behind-the-scenes look at the production of the film, "Sheep Among Wolves." Watch the film here, vimeo.com/ondemand/sheepamongwolves (available December 1, 2015)

With Joel Richardson producing the film, I had the privilege of directing. We shot the film all over the Middle East. Some locations we can disclose, some we cannot. The film was shot on Blackmagic cameras and a Sony a7s ii. A lengthy article about gear and production is on the way. Ill add the link once it is live.

Pulpit Rock // First Footage from the X5 on the Inspire 1 Pro

First footage from the X5 on the Inspire 1 Pro. Shot on one battery late afternoon at Pulpit Rock in Colorado Springs. Shot without ND at f8 and f5.6 on the DJI 15mm f1.7 (which is 30mm on the MFT mount). Thoughts? Great little camera. Good dynamic range. 4K. Big jump up from X3. Did a quick and over the top Mad Max Fury Road-esque grade to see how the D-LOG handles pushing and pulling in Resolve. Happy with it so far. No stabilization was added.

"The Kurds have no friends but the mountains." -Kurdish Proverb

Better Friends Than Mountains is a documentary about the tragic history of the Kurdish people, the mounting geopolitical conflict in the Middle East, and the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are approximately 31 million Kurds spread across 13 countries in and around 'the cradle of civilization.' They constitute the world's largest stateless people and remain one of the most unreached and unengaged people groups on earth. This scorned and marginalized people may very well be the ripest harvest field in the Muslim world. At this critical juncture in history, as the battle for the destiny of the Middle East rages on, it is imperative that the Church in the nations understands what is happening in the region and how the Lord would have us offer ourselves as living sacrifices on the altar of His will in the days ahead. We believe that the Kurdish people should have better friends than mountains.
